Our Green-Eyed Angel

Sarah (Gutierrez) Vincent, entered into eternal peace after a long battle with cancer on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at her home in Hacienda Heights, California.

Here with her Mother Helen - Her Rock!

Sarah was born in Los Angeles on October 12, 1958 to Joseph Gutierrez and Helen McPhail. She was raised in Rosemead, California and graduated from Rosemead High School in 1976.

Here with Her Family - She cherished and cared for.

She married her high school sweetheart, Charles “Charlie” M. Vincent on March 31, 1979. Sarah and Charlie have two daughters, Crystal Monique (29) and Brittany Nichole (23).

Here with her siblings - She prayed for, laughed with and encouraged.

Sarah was the “go-to” person for her siblings and friends.  Always there when someone needed to talk. Most times when one would call it was while she was always cleaning or straightening something up at the house. We all knew Sarah loved a clean house.  She enjoyed spending time with family, cooking and listening to her favorite music from Jackson 5 to Rob Base (which was her favorite). Those who knew Sarah knew she loved to dance on the dance floor.

Here with la familia - Christmas 2011

Sarah worked in several areas of employment from a convalescent home to jewelry sales throughout her life. Before her final battle with cancer began in December 2011, Sarah was the Invoice Clerk at the Walmart Superstore in the City of Industry for the last 19 years.  At Walmart Sarah flourished in her career in training new hires and taking on projects throughout her store and district. The “Beautiful Green-Eyed Angel” touched many lives within her Walmart family doing what she does best, loving God and loving people.  She offered prayer to those who needed intercession for their health, their families and personal struggles.

Her girls - Her loves

Sarah’s love for the Lord grew throughout the years. She served in ministry at her beloved home church Faith Community, where she frequently attended Wednesday and Saturday evening services and served in visiting convalescent homes to minister to those seniors whom she had a soft heart for.  Sarah found great strength and peace reading her bible, listening to Christian music and walking in the park near her home which she loved so much.
